jeremiah got home from work early this afternoon so we decided to take clémence to her very first (of many) art museums to check out an amazing exhibition of work by his favorite art professor from college, angela ellsworth who also happens to be an extremely talented and well-known artist (and such a sweetheart).

| joseph cornell is one of my favorites. known for his shadow boxes and collages. they had a section dedicated to some of his pieces. |

| mass (colder darker matter) by cornelia parker. these are all pieces of wood taken from a church that burnt to the ground. and they hang by wire and string. if you stand at a distance you can get lost in their movement. |

she spent her childhood in Utah and within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. her different experiences and individual reactions to this specific context have inspired much of her mature work as an artist. multilayered and complex, her works touches on memory and nostalgia but is grounded in the present and the reinterpretation of her experience as well as Mormon traditions and practices.
