been thrifting a bit lately. i've missed it. hit up one of my gems and found the following 3 skirts and the blouse for a total of $15. it felt good!

 

i paired the skirt with an older vintage find. the silk blouse has a
blueprint map on the
front and the arrows match the skirt perfectly.





you can never go wrong with mint.

growin up so fast.

today marks the first time clémence ate solid food!!

a birthday drink...and a surprise.

for my birthday evening we decided to go to windsor for a drink. if you haven't been there yet, please go. opened by the same owners of postino, its a hip little restaurant in midtown with a great atmosphere (they have a wall filled with cassette tapes--i'm just saying), amazing food, great cocktails and it is super kid-friendly. (and on that note, as a new parent i am continually impressed with phoenix and all of these cool sort of swanky-but-totally-reasonably-priced restaurants that are making room for parents) --st. francis also comes to mind.

anyway, after that jeremiah wanted to take us to sugar bowl; probably the oldest ice cream parlor in town...and when we arrived instead of just getting dessert i got a room full of my closest friends. it was pretty awesome.

today is my 27th birthday. i can't help but step back in bewilderment of this past year. it has truly been the best year of my life. never have i felt this much joy and contentment for where i am. i have an incredible family and incredible friends. age has become meaningless as i have already done so much and been blessed enough to fulfill so many dreams. i have had many jobs in my life; retail, aid to a precious special needs child, musician, teacher of preschool, manager of a boutique, server in a restaurant, teacher of english abroad but none compare to being the wife of the most amazing man and the mother of the most beautiful baby girl. for this i was truly meant.

another birthday present.

an adorable platter i had been lusting over which was bought in secret from my family to match our dinnerware collection. they are all handmade by an artist out of san francisco named rae dunn. she makes beautiful things. i can't wait to use this!!
